Pedro Hernandez, Cuban-American sculptor, a self-taught artist resides in Miami, Florida since 1969. His book Pedro Hernandez Line in Movement, published in November 2013, comprises more than fifty years of his artistic career.Cut-drawing is the idiosyncratic method Pedro Hernandez uses to create works in paper. Using the blade as a linear instrument layers of colored paper are shaped to achieve form. Their colors are overlaid for contrast and texture, and cuts reveal space or background.
