Description
An Early Bronze Age amphoriskos, Holy Land, c. 3100 - 2900 BC, the round bodied vessel with flared mouth and two small pierced handles. The entire vessel is decorated with a netting pattern in rich red color. H: 5 1/4 in (13.3cm). A nice example of this classic pottery type with light surface deposits. Ex-New York City private collection.
