Photograph by Carleton E. Watkins of the peak on the boundary between the Inyo National Forest and Yosemite National Park. The photograph was taken during the 1890 surveying expedition led by Watkins' friend and patron George Davidson, of U.S. Coast Survey fame. Watkins was the official photographer of the expedition.
