A Japanese lacquered and gilt wood "Zushi" shrine with a standing Buddha on a lotus throne, Edo, 17/18th C. Dim.: L.: 20,5 cm - W.: 14,5 cm - H.: 44,5 cm Provenance: With a label reading "Koll. Gerard van Hulst" and inventory number SC23. Gerard van Hulst was a Dutch composer and director, author of some 25 publications including "Inleiding tot de Kunstgeschiedenis" (An introduction to the history of arts), used as a standard work in Dutch secondary schools.
