This lot consists of a painted portrait of President Buchanan. President Buchanan is depicted in a three quarter profile view with one quarter of his face mostly in shadow. His hair is wild and appears to have been ruffled. He dons a black coat with a white collared shirt. The collar appears to be wrapped around his neck, similar to an ascot. President Buchanan is depicted in front of a dark grey green background that fades into a yellowish green gray color. Overall the painting is in good condition with normal wear present. Please note that the painting is not framed.
