Pre-Columbian, South America, Colombia, Narino, ca. 500 to 1000 CE. A massive, colossal, immense . . . whichever adjective you prefer to describe ENORMOUS . . . classic "bullet" style handbuilt amphora finished with beautiful black-on-red negative-resist geometric decoration upon the long neck and bullet formed bottom with black and red bands framing a beige band at the shoulder and complementary black and red bands adorning the flared neck. Among the largest and most beautiful we have seen. Metal tripod stand. Size: 11" W x 28.5" H (27.9 cm x 72.4 cm)
