Description
A QUEEN ANNE STYLE GEORGE III PERIOD CARVED OAK AND WALNUT LOWBOY, EARLY 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY ENGLISH, the rectangular molded top over two drawers above a wide pierced serpentine apron, joining scrolled knee cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Height: 32 1/8" Width: 41 7/8" Depth: 17"
Condition
Probably now missing original surmount; the top noted with old wood fill repairs. Likely refinished. There are some expected dents, scratches and minor losses throughout. A humidity crack is observed at the knee and there is notable wear to the drawer front edges, as well as later added drawer pulls, otherwise in sturdy, stable, very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
