Description

French, likely Rouen, 18th century. A colorful faience demilune shaped basin in white, blue and iron red, the interior painted with floral filled basket, the exterior with a large molded handle to each side in the form of a female head covered in underglaze blue locks. Apparently unmarked Approximate height 6.75", width 14.75", depth 10". Provenance: From the Collection of Mr. Gerald Darby, Owner of Darby Mitchell Antiques of Atlanta, Georgia.
