J. & E. Norton (American, Bennington, Vermont, 19th century), 1850-1859. A salt glazed stoneware 2-gallon jug, having a looped handle, a narrow banded neck, and a slip decorated cobalt motif. Manufacturer's mark and "2" to shoulder. Approximate height 13.5", diameter 8".
