Description
Hull Pottery (American (Ohio), 1905-1986). Rare Experimental green glazed two-sided figural bank modeled as a seated cat and referred to as a "Turnabout Cat". Slot for money deposit located between the two ears. Money removed via cork stopper underside base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 11", base width 7.75", base depth 3.25". Provenance: From the private collection Carolyn Hull Sopko, granddaughter of Hull Pottery founder, of Crooksville, Ohio. Note: According to the Hull Pottery Association, this bank is indeed rare.
