SOUTH AMERICAN PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM IN THE STYLE OF GORDON C ABBOTT: Early 20th century photo album documenting a Journey through Guatemala with more than 250 photographs which include views of: Lake Atitlan, in the Guatemalan Highlands with several views of volcanoes; Chichicastenango, including its striking front door with the image of a bat, Pascual Abaj (Sacrifice Stone), a shrine to the Maya earth god Huyup Tak'ah (Mountain Plain) and multiple market and church scenes. Quiche. With photographs of religious services and celebrations, Mayan ruins, landscapes, a volcano, churches but primarily of indigenous people. Several photographs detailing the weaving and textile manufacturing process.

Condition
All of the images are free, they were mounted into slide tabs and are not glued. Paper is brittle and crumbling at the edges.
