A group of three Japanese woodblock prints. Utagawa, Kunisada (Japan, 1786-1869). Depicting Kabuki chracters: Saemon Wataru (played by Sawamura Sojuro), Kesa o Zen (played by Onoe Baikoo), and Endo musha (played by Ichikawa Ebizoo). c.1851. Publisher: Yamaguchi-ya Toobei. Oban, approx. 15"h x 10"w.
Provenance: From the collection of diplomat T. Kobayashi.
Condition: Toning and stains consistent with age and use. The Endo musha (played by Ichikawa Ebizoo) has old backing paper.
