Together with a cinnabar jewelry box with a carved village scene at the top and rose motif about the sides; measures H.2 1/2" x 6" x 4". From the collection of Mrs. G. G. Scranton, international traveler from the late 1900's to the mid twentieth century. Friend and patron of Mrs. Dagny Carter, a notable scholar, influenced this collection.

There are chips to the lining of the cinnabar box. The red-brown lacquered box has wear to the bottom and exterior decoration, evident in comparison to the interior decoration.
