Three ANTIQUE JAPANESE KETTLE HOOKS( Jizai Kagi) Keyaki wood Meiji period 1868-1912Substantial, rare Japanese jizai kagi or hearth hook, Meiji period, c. 1868-1913. The jizai, part of every traditional Japanese home, is an architectural element of solid hardwood which was suspended from a ceiling beam over an open fire to support a hanging kettle.
