[6], 88 pp. Illustrated with plates from photographs. (8vo) green leatherette stamped in silver. First Edition.

Signed and dated "1936" in blue ink on front free endpaper by J.A. Coxe. Scarce, privately printed book of considerable interest. Includes a chapter on the development of the famous Coxe reels, later marketed under the name Coxe-Bronson. Coxe fished with Captain George Farnsworth and pioneered not only reels and tackle, but also big game fishing techniques. Also, a description of the famous "San Clemente Sea Monster." The title-page states "First numbered edition," but copies were not numbered.

Condition

Light wear to binding; toning to endpapers; very good.
