Altar-Form Jewel Casefourth quarter 19th century, Continental, composed of ebonized wood, enamel and gilt-metal, with a five-sided front, set with three hinged cabinets decorated with enamel plaques depicting classical scenes, the second level with a gilt-metal figure standing before a beveled mirror, hiding a compartment and flanked by doors, each concealing two drawers, a gilt-metal putto atop the center section.
