Dick Clark Personal Hand Signed Letter to Eight-Time Emmy Winning Producer on Personalized Stationery - This piece is a personal, hand signed letter from Dick Clark, dated June 16, 1999. The letter was written to our client, an eight-time Emmy Award winning producer, to express his enjoyment of a special that our client produced. The letter is hand signed by Dick Clark, and is in excellent condition. Measures 5.5" x 8.25". Dick Clark (1929-2012) was an American radio and television personality. He was best known for hosting American Bandstand from 1957 to 1987. As the host of the show, Clark introduced Rock & Roll to many Americans, and gave many new music artists their first exposure to national audiences, including Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, and Simon & Garfunkel. Episodes he hosted were among the first in which the live studio audience sat without racial segregation. Throughout his career he recieved four Emmy Awards, a Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award, and was inducted into the National Radio, Television, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fames. He was also awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1976.
