Julie Andrews Personal Hand Signed Letter To Eight-Time Emmy Winning Producer on Personal Stationery - This piece is a personal letter from Julie Andrews, to an Emmy winning producer. The letter was regarding the Tony Awards, and was meant to advise the producer of the award show that Andrews was respecfully declining the nomination. The letter is dated May 22, 1996, is printed on personalized stationery, and is hand signed by Andrews. The letter is in great condition, with no tears or foxing. The piece measures 8.25" x 11.75" (approximately). Julie Andrews (born October 1, 1935) is an English film and stage actress, singer, dancer, theatre director, and author. She started her career as a child actress and singer, and rose to prominence starring in Broadway musicals such as My Fair Lady, and Camelot. She made her feature film debut in the 1964 film Mary Poppins, and won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance. In 1965 she starred in The Sound of Music, and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Andrews was made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000 for services to the performing arts. Julie Andrews has won an Academy Award, a BAFTA, five Golden Globes, three Grammys, two Emmys, the Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award, the Kennedy Center Honors Award, and the Disney Legend Award.
