Description

Rare Newcomb College lidded teapot, a scenic version done by Anna Frances Simpson in 1930. Deeply carved with cascading Spanish moss, standing 5 1/4 inches tall with matching lid. Impressed marks include the Newcomb College logo, shape number 191, the monogram of potter Jonathan Hunt and the date code for 1930, SG 44. Also marked with the incised monogram of the artist. Excellent original condition with rich, interactive glaze.
