Seven Chinese and or Japanese items sold as one lot including a vintage Republic era blanc de chein porcelain guan yin statue figure with a red stamp on the underside together with a carved wooden stand, a late Qing Chinese foo dog lion with blue enamel decoration together with a wooden base, a pair of polychrome wooden Japanese Taisho or Showa miniature okimono statue figures, an aloeswood aka agarwood specimen with remnants of an old wax export seal and a 20C export tag, a Japanese Meiji carved figural jade ojime bead together with a miniature root form stand, a Chinese Republic era miniature table gong featuring a serpentine dragon affixed to a carved hardwood frame and nine Republic era carved hardwood display stands.

The guan yin is over 7 inches with its stand, the ojime is under 1 inch without the stand, the unaccompanied display stands are between 2.25 and 4.25 inches across.

Provenance: This is one lot of approx. 30 lots in this sale from the estate of Mr. & Mrs. Nancy & Henry Marks, owners of Dynasty Orientalia, Fayetteville, PA. The vast majority of the business inventory was liquidated by the family many years ago however this grouping remained in storage with Southern heirs residing south of Atlanta until now. Nancy and Henry traveled to Asia to purchase much of their inventory and were active in the Baltimore and Washington, DC antiques show circuit in the 1970s and 1980s. Some of their items retain decades old price tags from shows which we have left intact for historical perspective.

Condition: Most of these items are in sound and attractive estate discovery condition, the base is faded under the foo lion, the paint on the okimono boy has a large loss area, the wax seal for the agar wood piece has significant losses, ojime is too large to fit inside the top well of the root stand and was previously affixed by stuffing the well with a dab of museum putty, the gong is affixed to its stand by modern nylon line.

Approval of a bidder does not constitute acknowledgement that a lot(s) will be able to be shipped in-house or by an outside shipper to any specific location and the inability to receive an item under our, an outside shipper's, a carrier's or a country's guidelines does not exempt the buyer from the responsibility of paying for an item(s) and abiding by all of the Terms & Conditions.

ADDITIONAL SHIPPING NOTES:

Buyers of goods not liable for sales tax due to items being shipped out of county or state may be liable for use tax in their receiving county and/or state, that, as with international duties, are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

All buyers who have not in the absence of specific arrangements paid for both their purchases within 5 days or paid for their outside shipping within 5 days of the item being picked up by or dropped off at an outside shipper are subject to a combined uninsured storage fee of $10 + 2% of the hammer price per item per month in addition to any (re)pick-up fees (all fees as a lien where applicable) with purchase requirements and disposition of items per Terms & Conditions remaining in effect. Additionally, as permissible by law, paid items not picked up or shipped within 60 days may be resold at a location and time and manner of the seller's discretion and the buyer by placing a bid agrees to receive in return for their item a payment of only any portion of the recovered monies less all commissions and in-house as well as subcontracted expenses for both sales up to but not exceeding the amount of their purchase price.
