Item Details
Description
Silk background with probably silk threads, large eagle with open wings is above the crest shaped shield with PRO Mundi Benefeco (For Benefit of the World) below, embroidered 7 stars above the eagle and red, white and blue symbols below. Framed dimensions are 21 1/2" square, artwork size is 19 1/2" square. The center of the crest shows the area where presumably the Panama Canal was going to be built. Alleged by the owners that this was owned by the mid 1920s era. The glass on the frame is wavy and bubbly so its possible. Appears to be one of multiple images of a Panamian Coat of Arms.
Condition
Minor holes in the silk background, very stable as it appears to have never been out of its frame.
