BLOWN-MOLDED WAISTED HONEYCOMB COLOGNE BOTTLE, deep translucent blue, low, hexagonal form with a short neck, factory-polished thick flanged mouth and base, original elongated hexagonal panel-cut air-trap stopper. Neither unit numbered. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1840-1870. 5 1/2" HOA, 2 7/8" H bottle, 2 5/8" DOA.
Excellent condition, bottle with shallow chip to edge of one lower point, flake to stopper extension, probably as made.

Catalogue Note: Barlow and Kaiser note that large quantities of colorless fragments of this cologne and stopper were found at the Sandwich factory site. They go on to say that this blue example was the only one they had seen in color at that time.
