"HE WAS OUT!"
YOGI BERRA (1925-2015) American professional baseball catcher, manager, and coach. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest catchers in baseball history, and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972. Iconic inscribed signed photo, 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" b/w, an image of Brooklyn Dodgers second baseman JACKIE ROBINSON (1919-1972), the first African-American Major League Baseball player, stealing home plate during the first game of the 1955 World Series, as Berra reaches down to tag him out. The play was called as safe, over the vehement protestations of Berra, who would thereafter insist that Robinson was out. Berra signs above his image in blue ink, fittingly adding: "He was out!" Matted and framed, fine.
