"JANET JACKSON'S RHYTHM NATION 1814" PROMOTIONAL STAND-UP
Nearly life-size four-piece cardboard stand-up, approx. 4 1/2 feet tall, a b/w depiction of singer JANET JACKSON (b. 1966) standing with her arms crossed. The central part of the display reads "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation", while the base reads "1814". The display was intended to promote her 1989 album "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814", the only album in the history of the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart to have seven commercial singles peak within the top five positions. The display bears copyright information identifying it as being produced by A&M Records, and is housed in its original shipping carton, marked as originating from A&M records in Hollywood. The display bears some wear, with some bumping to the extremities of the cutout, else very good. Acquired from the Jackson family's 2014 bankruptcy auction.
