Description
An Egyptian ceramic flask with central head of Hathor, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, the body ovoid with narrow profile and small oval flat base, the narrow neck with widely flared mouth and flanked by loop handles. Either side of the neck is adorned with the head of the goddess Hathor in relief, suspended as if from a necklace from the two handles, a horizontal band with ovoid shapes running behind. 4 1/4 in (10.8 cm). An interesting pieces with light deposits. Ex New York private estate.
