15th Dynasty, Hyksos Period, 1648-1540 BC. A bronze leg of an ibis with splayed claw, attachment spigot above; mounted on a custom-made stand. 191 grams, 11.5cm including stand (4 1/2"). Ex Dudley Collings collection, Suffolk, UK, thence by descent; acquired by Collings in 1897; excavated Thebes in the early 19th century; including an old collection envelope written by Collings together with an old collection card stating from the Leitner Museum also written by Collings.
