Description
Early 2nd millennium BC. A haematite cylinder seal engraved with the suppliant goddess Lama behind the worshipper facing a bearded god on a throne holding in his right hand an aryballos with fine oil, a border around the bottom of the seal. Inscription: 1: èr-ra-da-bi-in 'Erra-dabin,' / 2: dumu dingir-ma-an-sum 'son of Dingir-mansum (= Il?-iddinam)' / 3: ìr Su-mu-èl 'servant of Sumuel' (= king of Larsa, ca. 1894-1866 BC"). Cf. D.
