A bronze vessel handle with arching body, to the top a semi-circular rim with incised ring-and-dot pattern and thumb guard to the top; to the base the face of Bacchus (Dionysus) with masses of curling hair and beard. 660 grams, 25cm (9 3/4"). Property of a European collector living in London; acquired in Munich, Germany before 2010.
