Group of Three German Porcelain Items, 20th c., consisting of a Meissen style Figural Candlestick, with two children picking apples; a standing putto; and a nude male seated on a rock, Candlestick- H.- 12 1/4 in., Dia.- 7 in. Provenance: The Estate of Sidney J. Mazarat III, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Nude- Apparent repair to lower section of base; light discoloration and matt finish. Repair to proper right foot; discoloration along foot. Putto- Repair to arms and object in hands; slightly raised texture and pinkish discoloration. Pinkie lacking from proper left hand. Children- Petal lacking near top. Approximate 1 inch area of thin vine lacking near top. Approximate ¼ inch section of vine lacking near base. A nice group.
