Two Pieces of French Faience, 19th c., consisting of a bottle with a reserve of St. Christopher, marked C. Bernaud, S. Luret; and a barber's bowl with musical motif decoration, Bowl- 2 3/4 in., W.- 13 1/8 in., D.- 10 5/8 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. Bottle- Slight flaw to one inch of black line (likely smudged in glazing). Barber's Bowl- Pin size brown firing flaws throughout. Approximate 2 inch cluster of such flaws along edge, which has moderate wear. Thin areas of glaze and scattered scratches on underside. Two ¼ inch chips on edge. Two pea-size raised firing flaws on interior and edge. Two charming pieces.
