Pair of Old Paris Porcelain Figural Room Scenters, 19th c., depicting a hunter and a maiden, with polychromed decoration, each wearing a beret, on integral white porcelain bases with gilt tracery and floral reserves, Hunter- H.- 11 in., W.- 4 1/8 in., D.- 3 1/4 in. Provenance: The Estate of Sidney J. Mazarat III, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. Light to moderate wear to gilt on both figures, especially the top corners and the back of the clothing. Three approximate 1 cm cracks on interior of both bases. Hunter- Proper right pointer finger lacking. Approximate ¼ inch chip to back. A charming pair.
