A Pair Of Old Paris Polychrome Enamel Decorated And Bisque Porcelain Mantle Vases, Circa 1880-1900, The Gilt Edged Fan Shape Vases With Transfer Printed And Hand Colored Floral Decoration Transitioning To Applied Grape Vine And Fruit Decoration, The Sides With Gilt Foliate And Scroll Handles Centering A Bisque Porcelain Bacchanal Theme Reclining Cherub With Raised Drinking Vessel In Their Hand, The Back With Transfer Printed Gilt Foliate Scroll, Stamped "247.L.S." On The Bottom. Height 11 1/4" Width 8 3/8" Depth 6" Vitreous enamel, also called porcelain enamel, is a material made by fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing, usually between 750 and 850 ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????C (1,380 and 1,560 ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????F).
