WREN P. C.: (1875-1941) English Writer of Adventure fiction, remembered for his novel Beau Geste (1924). T.L.S., P. C. Wren, one page, 8vo, Talbot Woods, Bournemouth, 14th May 1930, to Miss [Eileen] Cond. Wren thanks his correspondent for her letter and remarks 'I am so glad to hear that you like my books, and it is very nice of you to write to tell me so', further adding 'I have much pleasure in sending you my autograph….and to make it a little more personal I have signed it upon a small photograph'. Together with the vintage signed 2.5 x 3 photograph referred to, the image showing Wren in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform. Signed by Wren in fountain pen ink with his name alone across a darker area of the image. Also including a second T.L.S., P C Wren, one page, 4to, Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire, 5th January 1937, to Miss [Eileen] Cond. Wren thanks his correspondent for their kind Christmas and New Year greetings, which he reciprocates most heartily. Further including a T.L.S. by Wren's secretary, one page, 4to, Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire, 3rd June 1937, to Miss [Eileen] Cond, informing her that Major Wren is away on a cruise following some time in Nuffield House, Guy's Hospital, and that she will be going through his library while he is away.
