LENOX CHINA CARLYLE / GLENWOOD / CORINTHIAN ARTICLES, LOT OF SEVEN, including two 8 1/4" H salt and pepper grinders in the "Glenwood Collection" pattern, two 1 3/4" H salt and pepper shakers in the "Carlyle Collection" pattern, one 11" x 6 1/8" bulb planter or dish, and one 6 1/8" H vase in the "Corinthian Collection" pattern. Together with one wooden base for rectangular planter/dish. Eight pieces total. Winslow Anderson designed for Lenox Ceramic Art Company, Trenton, New Jersey. Third quarter 20th century.
Excellent undamaged condition. Surface radial manufacturing hairline on interior of rectangular dish that does not go through to exterior and is filled in with glaze.
Provenance: Winslow Anderson estate sold to benefit the Huntington Museum of Art.
Exhibited: Huntington Museum of Art, 8/22/99-1/9/2000.
Catalogue Note: Winslow Anderson worked as a design director at Lenox China from 1953-1980.
