ENGLISH CUT GLASS AND STERLING SILVER SIX-BOTTLE CASTER SET, comprising two cruet bottles with hinged lids, and four oil bottles with cut-facet stoppers, each with polished pontil marks, all mounted in a sterling silver stand with central integral mustard jar and integral shaker forming the mustard cover, stand and bottles each with London hallmarks, George III duty mark, 1790 date mark, and makers mark for Peter & Jonathan Bateman, except for one oil lacking makers mark (UPDATED 4/24/17). Total weight of stand, not including glass bottles: 31.44 ozt. Circa 1790. 10" HOA, 15" x 8 1/4" OA.
Excellent condition, less than expected wear, bottles virtually undamaged, one oil with a flake to foot, stoppers with some flakes to stoppers, mustard lacking glass insert, one oil holder lacking securing nut to underside.
