The following lots 74-82, and 809 are from a Private Collection of a Gentleman Published by Delphin-Verlag Munchen, 1911-12- SEMA, 15 Originalsteinzeichnungen; To include: Karl Caspar, Pietà (Köster 5): Maria Caspar Filser, Römische Landschaft: August Fricke, Die Einfältigen: Robert Genin, Am Brunnen: Frank S. Herrmann, Italienischer Hof: Fritz Hofmann-Juan, Notre Dame de Paris: Gustav Jagerspacher, Bettler: Paul Klee, Blick auf einen Fluß (Kornfeld 42 B b): Max Oppenheimer, Anatomie (Operation) (Pabst L2): Edwin Scharff, Gehende Männer: Adolf Schinnerer, Badende Frauen: Julius Wolfgang Schülein, Netzflicker: Carl Schwalbach, Liebespaar: (lacking Alfred Kubin, Der Flüchtling and Egon Schiele, Akt) lithographs, thirteen from the original suite of fifteen, and title page numbered VII on the reverse in black ink, each print signed by the artists in pencil, ea. with the signet of the artist's association, in original boards, ea. sheet, 46.2x40cm, (folio) (ARR) Note: The Munich group of artists known as SEMA that formed around Paul Klee, it lasted for only two years 1910-12 and during this time exhibited at the Heinrich Tannhauser Modern Gallery.
Condition
In a green hard-back cover with flaps on three sides when open cover has faded front and back, spine of cover coming apart/damaged inside cover has extensive foxing round the edges and possible waterdamage where paper is bubbling away from the card the prints are interleaved with tissue paper all prints are loose in the folio there is a title page and two printed text pages, one with the names of the aritists involved, all text is in German each sheet has a deckle edge on all sides each sheet has printed symbol of the publisher on the left hand corner all prints are signed lower right in pencil by the artist lacking examples for Alfred Kubin and Egon Schiele some of the prints have slight creases on the corners/edges of the paper some are discoloured with faint foxing in places some are discoloured/yellowing through aging minor handling marks otherwise in good general condition 13 lithographs from the original 15 by Karl Caspar, Maria Caspar-Filler, August Fricke, Robert Genin, Frank S. Herrmann, Fritz Hofmann-Juan, Gustav Jagerspacker, Paul Klee, Max Oppenheimer, Edwin Scharff, Adolf Schinnerer, Julius Wolfgang Schulein, and Carl Schwalbach (lacking examples for Alfred Kubin and Egon Schiele),
