Item Details

Description

Ebonized wood shaft with gold-filled top and nickel ferrule. The gold filled top crown chased and engraved with scrolls and florals, stamped maker's marks and numeral 2, inlaid gold top engraved F.X.__ (probably Francis Xavier ______) Feb 8, 1902). The seller purchased this from the Naismith Estate, Lawrence, Kansas. The head measures 2 x 1.5 inches, length 36 inches.

Condition

Good to very good condition, noting considerable wear to the ebonized wood shaft.
