Betty Harper (American, 1946-) "Sinatra at the Sands" Original Limited Edition Framed Offset Lithograph Hand Signed & Numbered 98/295 - This wonderful, original offset lithograph titled "Sinatra at the Sands" is by legendary American celebrity artist Betty Harper. The lithograph is done in five colors, and depicts a pencil and watercolor collage of Sinatra's time in the Copa Room of the former Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The artist has hand-signed the piece in the lower right hand corner and numbered the piece 98/295 in the lower left. The lithograph is in good condition, and has been professionally framed in a wood and black lacquer frame. The piece (including the frame) measures 25"W x 19.5"L. Betty Harper is best known as the official artist for Elvis Presley Enterprises, having drawn over 20,000 images of Elvis Presley. A retrospective of her work, "50+ Years with Elvis," was exhibited at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2013. As the daughter of a career military man, the only constant in her life was art. She fell in love with art at the age of 10, and after attending 17 schools in 12 years, she graduated from Dreux American High School in Dreux, France and went on to study art at the Paris American Academy. During the 1970's she designed album covers for RCA, Columbia Records, Jim Reeves Enterprises, Loretta Lynn, and many others, and was commissioned by Jack Daniels Distilleries, to create twelve drawings of "Old Timers". She has also done commissioned artwork for Elvis' record producer Felton Jarvis and for the President of RCA, which is now proudly a part of the permanent collection of the Country Hall of Fame. She has been the Official Artist for Elvis Presley Enterprises since 2006 and for Muhammad Ali Enterprises since 2012.
