An interesting example of an illustrated book for adults from the turn of the century, the story follows Kitty Cobb beginning with her exit from rural life through the transformation to "city girl". The story follows Kitty through dates, jealous incidents, to matrimony and even includes a young married's argument. Intricate line drawings in black and white by the author with accompanying text on each page. This copy with a humorous full page drawing in pencil by an unknown artist on the first blank page, of a boy in a stable.

Light wear to binding with rubbing to extremities; a bit of light foxing to interior; very good.
