CHINA, 20TH CENTURY A Chinese porcelain Moonflask form vase. The vase sits on a rounded foot with scrolling tendril design rising into a flattened globular form body with tapered neck and flared rim. The body is decorated with quaint lobed panels on each side. One panel depicts an eloquently dressed woman in a yellow and aubergine robe being served tea by two women with a horse beneath a tree. The second panel bears an unusual scene of three elderly nude women walking along a cliff as a fourth nude flies on a cloud. The three women appear to be making an offering to the levitating woman. The remaining surface of the vase is decorated entirely in a blue and white floral and tendril design. The vase bears a six character seal mark.
