Description

This lot has a complete set of two first edition "My Experiences in the World War" Books by John Pershing (1860-1948) General. Black Jack Pershing was the commander of the American Expeditionary Force (AEF) in Europe in World War I. After the war he was promoted to General of the Armies, a position previously held only by George Washington. This rare set feature numerous prints and photographs from the first world war. The books show very good condition, with little wear. The books measure 9 1/2" L x 7" W. His two volume book, "My Experiences in the World War", was published by Frederick A. Stokes Company..
