Expansive description of the Jewish world in Holland from an artistic and ceremonial viewpoint, relates to the 16-20th century. The book includes pictures of Jewish engravings from ancient works printed in Amsterdam [Picard and others], ritual items typical of the Amsterdam community [spice towers, Chanuka menorahs and more], Holidays and more. The author was killed in the Holocaust.
Section one [14] 299 pages. Section two: [7], 287 pages.
Original, illustrated bindings with gilt embossing. Stains, fine condition.
