Southeast Asia, Burma/Myanmar, ca. 1890 CE. A pair of large and heavy wooden lions, covered in a dark brown lacquer, with painted details of the eyes and mouth. The lions are in a dynamic stance, snarling, tails down, legs in striding pose. Size: 24.5" L x 18.5" H (62.2 cm x 47 cm)
