Note: Sergeant Richard P. Hanley earned the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions during the Battle of Little Bighorn; on June 25th, 1876, Hanley safely recaptured a rogue pack mule carrying 1000 rounds of ammunition after it was spooked and bolted towards enemy lines.
