Cecil C. Bell (American, 1906-1970)Cecil Crosley Bell was born in Seattle, WA on July 15, 1906. In 1925 he took a job at the Tacoma Engraving and, in 1928 studied printmaking at the Chicago Art Institute in the fall semester. After marrying Agatha Lewis in 1929 the newlyweds moved to New York City in 1930, where he studied at the Art Students League with Charles Locke and Harry Wickey.Previous owner Peggy Kerstner purchased this painted from Cecil Bell\\\'s wife.
