"ACQUIT ANGELA ON ALL COUNTS"
Scarce original newspaper, the "Daily News", New York, June 5, 1972, 28pp. tabloid size. The huge front page two-tier banner headline screams: "ACQUIT ANGELA ON ALL COUNTS." A second smaller headline reads: "Screams of Joy Greet Verdict." The paper also contains a half page photograph titled "All-White Jury Frees Her" showing a joyously smiling Davis flanked by her attorneys. The full story and two additional photos comprise over two thirds of page three. After the verdict was read, she said, "It is not only the happiest day of my life, it is the same for the people all across the country and the world who have struggled so hard. Starting this day, we are going to launch a campaign to free all political prisoners and all oppressed people in this country and around the world." Overall very good.
