Description
DESCRIPTION: 1890 American flag of Washington with unofficial 42-star count. After the Third Flag Act of 1818, a star would be added to the American flag following each state that was added to the Union. After Washington's acceptance, the flag had 42 stars for 243 days from November 11, 1889 to July 3, 1890 when Idaho was accepted as a state. Therefore this flag did not officially represent Washington's statehood anymore, becoming the "unofficial" flag. MEASUREMENTS: 112 " long x 72 " wide. CONDITION: Tearing and losses to fabric as well as discoloration discoloration, as expected with age. IMPORTANT: Before bidding, please read the terms and conditions. When you registered for the auction you agreed to these terms and will be required to comply with them.
