Description
New Haven bracket clock, eight day time/strike chime no. 3, circa 1930, the rectangular mahogany case having fruit filled urn spelter finials rising from the four corners and center of a stepped pediment, surmounting a case having a single glass door trimmed with brass, opening to a square brass face with chamfered corners of spelter mounts depicting a female bust, framing a round silvered chapter ring with black Roman numerals, two key holes, and ebonized pierced hands, the corners having applied metal mounts of female busts terminating to a fruit garland, the sides having pierced metal panels, the whole rising on a stepped plinth base and resting on scroll metal feet, paper label attached to backside of door, movement marked, "Wilcock Pat, Canada / 1836, 18.5"h x 12.75"w x 9.25"d.
