Illustrates a scene of Russian military officers convening in a square as a boat docks beside them. Signed:"A Gebens 1853" on the bottom right and finished with a gilded wood frame with celeste blue backdrop. Marked:1853 and topped with a carved Russian imperial double eagle. Verso of painting features a gilded banner with a Russian military helmet adorned with a double eagle and dated: 1853". Gilded with white gold flakes. Marked on back in Russian: "Sailors Guard on the Neva River in the Winter Palace".
