Early 20th century, Berber/Amazigh (likely Morocco or Algeria). Silver box with hinged bow-shaped lid and two decorative rings on either side to facilitate suspension. Intended to hold a Qur’an. Exterior of box is finely decorated with chased floral designs around teardrop, paisley, and circular settings of turquoise and red coral. Square Bird’s Eye design around opening and edges.
